General Information
Inflorescence

The Heliconia bihai, Halloween produces large, beautiful flowers with bright orange bracts edged in green and yellow.  Most people think of the bracts as the bloom, but the true flower are the white and green stiff sepals that poke out of the bracts at various points.

The Heliconia bihai, Halloween is a generous bloomer in the Summer.
Height

 The Heliconia bihai, Halloween is large and vigorous and averages 6 to 8 ft. in height.  Can be grown in large container.
Habitat

 Full sun to partial shade.  Moderately humid soil.

 Cut Flower

Flower is great in floral arrangements when combined with other red heliconias and gingers.  Fresh flower will last 7 to 14 days in clean water.
