Inflorescence
The Calthea lutea, Cigar Calathea produces a reddish-brown inflorescence of waxy, nested bracts resembling a long cigar. Pleated, oval shaped leaves have a silvered underside and are wide and attractive. Small, yellow flowers will peek from the bracts as they mature.
